Dog training
At KIKA, we understand that successful dog training is a team effort between you and your furry friend. That's why we tailor our services to fit your specific lifestyle and needs, and we have a decade of experience in behaviour modification to back up our approach.
During the initial stages of training, we use treats or food to make the process more enjoyable and effective for your pet. As training progresses, we gradually reduce the use of treats while maintaining a focus on positive reinforcement.
We're committed to achieving long-lasting results for both you and your pet, and our track record of high success rates and satisfied clients is a source of pride. Contact us today to schedule your first appointment and take the first step towards a happier, better-behaved pet.

Puppy Training 2-6 months old
The most crucial aspect of owning a dog is its training. It is where the soul, brain, and body of the dog start to understand and follow commands. Traditionally, dog training would commence at six months, but I prefer to start at eight weeks when the puppy arrives home.
From the moment your new pup enters your home, it begins to learn. Thus, it is essential to teach them what you expect and want from them to avoid future behavioral problems. Puppies can learn at any age, and early training helps prevent undesirable behavior from occurring.
By managing your puppy's behavior and rewarding desirable behavior, you can prevent it from developing bad habits. Early training involves potty training, socialization, and basic commands, with lots of positive interaction and playtime. The number of sessions required for good results is a minimum of eight. After puppy training, basic obedience training may not be necessary, depending on the dog and its owner.

Basic obedience 6-12 months old
What is included in basic obedience training?
Basic obedience training covers the fundamental commands such as sit, stay, come, heel, and down. It is recommended to ensure that your dog masters these basics before enrolling in more advanced classes.
A minimum of ten sessions is necessary to achieve good results in basic obedience training.
3
Advanced obedience
Advanced obedience training is exclusively designed for dogs that have already acquired intermediate-level skills. This level aims to refine the dog's capabilities, enabling it to follow commands consistently and remain stable even when distracted.
If you have previously enrolled in puppy training and basic obedience classes with your dog, achieving your preferred results may take less time.
The number of sessions required for optimal outcomes in advanced obedience training varies depending on the dog's progress and abilities. Generally, it takes a minimum of fifteen sessions to achieve significant results, although it may vary based on the dog's individual learning pace.

Repetitive training
Even though the aforementioned trainings have been completed, it is essential to remember that dogs, like humans, require repetition to retain their knowledge over time.
The best practice is to consistently repeat what you have learned during training. Failure to do so may result in the need to retrain certain skills in the future.
