Mandatory classes
For new dog owners -or citizen in Canton Zurich, it can be challenging to determine the required training courses. Currently, the size of your dog impacts the mandatory training needed.
If your dog is under 15kg or 45cm (when fully grown), courses are not required but highly recommended. Dogs over 15kg or 45cm need to complete four puppy lessons (aged 8-16 weeks) and ten young dog lessons (aged 16 weeks to 18 months).
If you didn't complete the four puppy lessons, you need to finish 20 lessons: ten young dog and ten "Erziehungskurs" lessons.
If you moved to Canton Zurich with a dog between 18 months and 8 years old, you must complete ten "Erziehungskurs" lessons.
However, there's no obligation to attend any courses if your dog is above 8 years old.
You are welcome to join our group training sessions to improve your relationship with your dog even if its not obligatory for you. Private lessons are required for dogs with aggression or unsocial behaviour before attending group sessions to ensure everyone's safety.

Young Adult Dog Course (Basic Course)
Our course covers the fundamentals of dog training and applies them in everyday situations. Through fun exercises, we'll teach you how to instill basic obedience in your dog.
Our program emphasizes training dogs to work together without distractions.
You'll also learn to interpret canine body language and strengthen your teamwork.
Obedience course (Erziehungskurs)
Attending the obedience course is compulsory for dogs of breed type I in the following cases:

if the dog has been kept in Kanton Zürich since puppy age but neither attended puppy furtherance nor a youngsters course (Junghundekurs)

if the dog has been kept in Kanton Zürich since puppy age and did not attend either puppy furtherance or a youngsters course (Junghundekurs)
20 lessons obedience course

if the dog is between 18 months and 8 years old at the time of acquisition or relocation to Kanton Zürich but did not attend a youngsters course (Junghundekurs)
10 lessons obedience course
Private Training
A private dog lesson is the best option for dog owners who are facing issues with their furry friend or need faster results. During a private lesson, the trainer is able to focus all their attention on one dog and their specific needs.
This allows for a personalized training plan to be developed, tailored to the individual dog's temperament and learning style.
The trainer is able to identify any issues or problem behaviors and work on correcting them in a one-on-one setting, which can be much more effective than in a group class.
